Lucia was born in Slovakia and first immigrated to Vancouver as a child. She moved to Toronto from Vancouver in 2018 which was a huge adjustment for her and she struggled with depression in the beginning years. Without any family, friends, and having a partner who worked out of town, it was especially challenging. Eventually, she started going to therapy which was life changing, and allowed for her personal growth which helped bring her to HFG. 

Lucia has a passion for helping others and is always looking for new courses to expand her knowledge. Currently, she is enrolled in the Social Service worker program at Humber Collage and is looking to pursue her passion in Mental health once she is finished. 

Lucia really enjoys being a part of such a powerful organization as HFG and can relate to the women as she is also a survivor of abuse. 

In her spare time Lucia enjoys going on adventures with her partner and Goldendoodle Bella. She loves traveling, yoga, painting, and refurbishing furniture.
